A1. There is a capacity limit to apply to the World Championship, but no special conditions except for early entry. (There are conditions regarding players’ nationalities for Domestic Early/General Entry and Entries from IMO Member Nations.) You can participate by applying for the early entry before its capacity is filled or if you win the lottery for the general entry. However, for the Nations Cup (refer to Q2), only members selected by each country will participate, so its entry window is not opened in public.

The following Q&As are regarding Domestic Early Entry in Japan. Domestic Early Entry has already ended, but please feel free to check for any necessary information regarding changes in team members or other matters.

A20. The conditions for domestic early entry are that all team members must be residents of Japan and have completed JMA player registration for the fiscal year 2024 (April 2024 to March 2025).

A21. Since all team members are required to be registered as JMA qualified players, the following judgments will apply: If you applied as a team with 4 members and 1 or more members haven’t registered as JMA qualified players, your team won’t qualify for early entry, and your entry will be cancelled.

If you applied as a team with 5 or 6 members and only one member hasn’t registered as a JMA qualified player, the unregistered member will be removed from the member list. As long as at least 4 members are listed, the team qualifies for early entry.

A22. For early entry, please complete JMA Qualified Player registration for all team members before the team representative applies. If you need to change members after applying for early entry, the new member also must be registered as a JMA qualified player. Note that we will accept member changes until the end of June.

In case of discrepancies/errors during team member changes, based on the policy addressed in A8 above, your early entry may be cancelled. (Contact for member changes: mm2024hakodate@gmail.com)
