We’re excited to announce that the “2024 Mölkky World Championship in Hakodate” will take place from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, 2024! Our efforts to promote Mölkky across Japan have been recognized by the International Mölkky Organisation (IMO), and we’re honored to host the first World Championship outside of Europe.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to boost Mölkky’s popularity in Japan and promote communication that transcends age, gender, and ability. It’s also a chance to showcase the beauty and charm of Hakodate, Hokkaido, and Japan to the world.

Given the massive Mölkky boom in Japan, we’re planning to accommodate as many teams as possible by using two venues. However, the costs for staffing, security, shuttle buses, and other expenses are substantial, and we need your help to make this event a success.

We’re reaching out to ask for your support. Your donations will help us cover these essential expenses and ensure that the 2024 Mölkky World Championship is an unforgettable event for all participants and spectators. Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference.

Guideline for Supporter Donations

1. Name of the Donation Campaign
“2024 Mölkky World Championship in Hakodate Supporter Donations”

2. Total Amount to be Raised
Each unit of donation is ¥1,000 (multiple units can be purchased). The total amount raised will be the sum of all contributions collected during the period specified in section 3.

3. Fundraising Period
From May 15, 2024, to August 20, 2024

4. Eligibility
Open to individuals, corporations, and organizations.

5. Purpose of the Fundraising
To cover the operational costs of the “2024 Mölkky World Championship in Hakodate” to be held from August 23 to August 25, 2024, in Hakodate, Hokkaido.

6. Use of Funds
All funds received will be fully allocated to the operational expenses of the “2024 Mölkky World Championship in Hakodate” (including reasonable fundraising expenses).

7. How to Apply
Please apply via the Google Form linked below. (Note: Bank transfer fees are to be borne by the donor. Please understand that donations, once made, cannot be refunded.)

(※1) Donations can only be accepted from bank transfers within Japan. Due to the terms of our bank account, we cannot accept transfers from foreign banks. Please be aware of this restriction.

(※2) Although the Japan Mölkky Association is a non-profit organization, donations from individuals are not eligible for income tax deductions or other tax benefits. However, corporate donations can be treated as general donations and can be included in the deductible expenses up to the limit for general donations.
